CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Gas & Water contract workers have begun removal of an inactive water storage tank near Alfred Thun Road.
Work began Monday, April 15, and will take place daily, from daylight to dark, through late afternoon Thursday, according to the contract work schedule.
Passersby may notice staged equipment and tank climbers using torches to remove the tank. However, traffic is expected to flow normally along Alfred Thun Road throughout the duration of the work.
The tank removal work also will be visible to motorists from Interstate 24 between Exits 8 and 4 and they can be reassured that the activity is authorized and all is well at the tank site.
