[ARCHIVED] Troy Industries coming to Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- The Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board is pleased to announce Troy Industries Inc., has chosen to relocate its United States manufacturing headquarters in Clarksville.

Troy Industries has executed a lease agreement on a site at 1575 Corporate Parkway Blvd. owned by the IDB, formerly home to the Tennessee Rehab Center. Troy Industries plans to transition the building into a design and manufacturing plant for top-quality small arms components and accessories.

Troy Industries is one of America’s largest suppliers of small arms accessories, with a customer base that includes military and law enforcement personnel. Troy’s products include their flagship product, Folding BattleSights, and rails, slings and weapon enhancements. The company plans to add 75 jobs at the Clarksville facility, bringing an investment of $7.1 Million.

“The IDB is thankful Troy Industries Inc. chose Clarksville, and we welcome them to the community," IDB Chairman Wally Crow said. "Troy Industries is a veteran-friendly employer and will help create another valued veteran connection to employment for our active-duty service members when they ETS. Aligning new and expanding business with our current population is a great win for the community."

Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett called the company "an awesome addition to the community."

“I met with Troy Industries about a year ago and knew right then and there that they were a great match for our community," Mayor Durrett said. "They will bring a unique manufacturing component to Montgomery County and are a proven industry leader in the design and manufacturing of quality small arms components and accessories. Most of the world’s top military weapon’s producers seek Troy products because they set the standard for the industry."

Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts also welcomed Troy Industries.

"We appreciate Troy Industries’ $7.1 million investment here and their plan to add 75 jobs to our economy, especially some veteran-friendly design and manufacturing positions,” Mayor Pitts said. “This small-arms components and accessories maker is a great addition to our mix of corporate partners.”

Troy Industries Inc. is beginning its recruitment process, with initial employment opportunities focused on hiring veterans, women and minorities. Additionally, careers for Troy Industries, Inc. will be posted at Clarksvilleishiring.com a resource provided to community employers by the Aspire Foundation.
