This week is National Security Guard Appreciation Week, and to celebrate, we will be highlighting the faces of our Security & Loss Prevention team that oversee City Hall, Clarksville Transit System, Clarksville Gas & Water, City Court, Clarksville Parks & Recreation, and the over 350 municipal properties throughout the community.
Today we highlight two Security & Loss Prevention members, Miguel Placencia and Tressa Baldwin.

Miguel is a retired New York Police Department Detective and Senior Rackets Investigator with the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. He has more than 27 years of experience leading criminal investigations, security coordination, and working in demanding environments. Miguel provides a welcoming experience for Clarksville residents who visit Gas & Water at 2215 Madison St.

Tressa started out in the medical field and made a career change into the security field over the years. Prior to joining the City of Clarksville as a Loss Prevention Officer in 2017, Tressa worked for a Sheriff’s Office and a private security contractor. She currently serves as a Loss Prevention Officer II and inspects City-owned sites as an Inspector for the department to report any issues or concerns. She manages the Guard Metrics System, oversees Incident Reports, places work orders, conducts monthly inspections, takes meeting notes, provides security for City Court and Council Meetings, inputs all inventory, and assists with training new hires in both the classroom and on-the-job training.
