This week’s #WorkingWednesday features John Hilborn, City Project Manager and Interim Director for the Building & Facilities Department.
John has been with the City since February 2020 where he started as a Building Inspector for Building & Codes. With three decades of experience as a General Contractor prior to working for the City, he applied and was hired on as the City’s Project Manager where he now applies his expansive knowledge and expertise to City projects.
As the Project Manager, his primary responsibility is to assist City departments with construction-related needs as they arise. He assesses the departmental needs for each project, assists with possible solutions, and works to hire designers and other professional services to execute the project. He also assists in the design, bidding, contract executions, construction administration, and warranty resolution processes of each project.
When he’s not at work, you can find John working in his yard or around the house with his wife, Staci. When they are able to go, they also enjoy going scuba diving.
Thank you, John, for the extensive knowledge and expertise you bring to your role at the City. We appreciate all the hard work you put in to ensure City projects go as smoothly as possible and we are proud to have you as part of our City family!
