THDA-Emblem

The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) has rolled out the Tennessee Housing Assist Fund Program (TNHAF) to assist homeowners who have faced financial hardships due to COVID. Eligible households with an annual income of less than $119,850 may apply for up to $40,000 in assistance.

TNHAF funds can be used to make past-due payments and for up to six months of expenses moving forward. Households may apply for additional funds if they encounter further hardships due to COVID.

The program is designed to assist homeowners with:

  • Mortgage payments.
  • Past due HOA fees.
  • Homeowner’s insurance.
  • Property taxes.

COVID-related hardships include:

  • Unemployment.
  • Underemployment resulting in a significant reduction of household income.
  • Substantial increase in expenses directly related to COVID.

Payments for qualifying households will be sent directly to the servicer and/or approved entities. Funds will not be paid directly to homeowners.

For more information regarding the TNHAF program or to apply, visit thda.org.
