CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Most City of Clarksville offices will close at noon on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31 and all day on Wednesday, Jan. 1 to observe New Year’s.
City Public Safety departments will be on duty as usual and all essential City services will continue.
CDE Lightband and Clarksville Transit System will run on their normal daily schedules New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31.
The transit system will be closed on New Year’s Day and reopen on Jan. 2. However, because of declining use in recent years and increased transportation alternatives, CTS will not offer Operation Safe Ride, the traditional ride-home program for New Year’s Eve party goers.
Clarksville Gas & Water administration and engineering offices, including the north and south customer service centers, also will be closed Jan. 1. In the event of a gas, water or sewer emergency on that day, customers should call (931) 645-7400, or the emergency after-hours line, (931) 645-0116. The Utility Billing Line, (931) 645-7400, automated pay by phone, and WebConnect, www.clarksvillegw.com, online bill payment feature, all will be operational.
CDE Lightband offices will be closed Jan. 1. In the event of a service outage, customers should call (931) 648-8151. Customers can go online at https://cdelightband.com/customer-service/ for service and bill paying information.
All City of Clarksville offices will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2 for regularly scheduled hours.
