CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Tennova Healthcare–Clarksville will host a Critical Incident Exercise with area police, fire and EMS departments from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29.
A higher than normal volume of first responder vehicles and personnel will be present on the hospital campus, 651 Dunlop Lane in Clarksville. The public safety drill will simulate a real world response in an exercise environment.
Visitors and patients will be notified Saturday morning that a drill event will be taking place, but the exercise is not expected to interrupt patient care or the ability of visitors to come and go on the campus. Temporary signage will be placed to communicate the presence of the drill to employees and visitors.
Several agencies will set up Emergency Command Centers in the back employee parking lot. That area will be blocked off and individuals not directly involved in the exercise will not be allowed to enter the area. This will not interrupt traffic flow in the visitor or emergency room parking lots, nor foot traffic at patient entrances.
