[ARCHIVED] Parks and Rec programs postponed, canceled

CLARKSVILLE, Tennessee. – To ensure the safety of the public during the coronavirus outbreak, Clarksville Parks and Recreation has canceled or postponed all indoor public programs, events and closed certain facilities through beginning Friday, March 13 through March 31. Volleyball games scheduled for this evening will still be played. 

This affects all indoor drop-in and paid activities, including Spring Break Camp, lifeguard certification, and the Clarksville Film Festival screening. Programs or events will be rescheduled whenever possible.

Registrants of canceled activities will receive a credit to their account for the registration fee. Registrants of postponed activities will receive an email with additional information. Full refunds will be provided upon request to parksrec@cityofclarksville.com.

In addition, the following facilities are closed beginning Friday, March 13 through March 31:

  • Kleeman, Crow, Burt-Cobb Recreation Centers
  • New Providence Swimming Pool
  • Fort Defiance Interpretive Center (park grounds open)

Parks and Recreation crews will continue to sanitize all outdoor equipment and facilities including bathrooms, park fixtures, and playgrounds.
