[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Memorial Drive water outages planned

UPDATE

Clarksville Gas & Water has expanded the scheduled water outage on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 10 p.m. on Memorial Drive from Ussery Road to West Meadow Drive for fire hydrant and water valve replacement work and the outage will include the following roads. 

  • Ussery Road
  • Simpson Drive
  • Norma Court
  • Twin Cedars Drive
  • Cedarcroft Drive
  • Merrywood Drive
  • Louis Ussery Road
  • Stonegate Drive
  • Medical Court 

Low water pressure will also affect the Belmont, Cambridge Estates, Craigmont, Georgetown and Peartree subdivisions including the following roads.

  • Georgetown Road
  • Hampshire Drive
  • Hampshire Court
  • Craigmont Boulevard
  • Cambridge Road
  • Seven Springs Road
  • Norwood Trail
  • Terrace Drive
  • Kimbrough Road
  • Kimbrough Court
  • Peartree Drive
  • Partridge Court

The work is anticipated to be finished and water service fully restored by approximately 5 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Gas & Water has planned water outages, weather permitting, on Tuesday, Feb. 2, and Wednesday, Feb. 3, beginning nightly at 10 p.m. on a section of Memorial Drive from Ussery Road to Clearview Drive for fire hydrant replacement work. Area residents may also experience low water pressure during the work.

The water outages will also include the following Memorial Drive side roads.

  • West Park Drive
  • Lydia Lane
  • Allenwood Drive
  • Keith Drive
  • Med Parc Drive
  • Hilldale Lane
  • Pardue Drive
  • Pardue Court
  • Clearview Drive (north of Memorial Drive)

Memorial Drive will be passable; however, approximately 100 feet of the southbound lane at the intersection of Ussery Drive will be shifted to the center lane both nights at 10 p.m. to allow for the work. Motorists are advised to slow down and be alert to directional signs and utility workers when approaching the work zone or choose an alternate travel route to avoid traffic congestion.

Tuesday’s work is anticipated to be finished by approximately 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, and Wednesday’s work is anticipated to be finished by 5 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4.
